oAO now I kinda wished shields could not be just decorations or defensive purposes ;A: so beautiful! I actually like it more than when it's blue, makes it seem as if it was actually used in the past, not in a fantasy world. XDDD Will you be making more wooden works in the future?
hi ! great job... but where are bow and wooden sword of the first game "it's dangerous to go alone... please take this" ? well. get some serious : what have you use to make the bitumen do not attached the hylian form ? On the photo step 4 you do not explain this. why the clear form still rest... hum... clear and not brown ? (hope you'll be abble to understand my "english level french school" question...). thanks a lot. well : congratulation for this !
ahahahhahaha i hope i can understand too... with my brazilian-school-level-english-basis. haha Well, all I did was the shield. I was planning on doing the sword too, but since I dont speak to my father anymore, i think im not very welcome in his woodwork place. haha :/ so, i'd have to buy all the stuff (wood, tools, equipment), and I don't have this kind of money haha. You mean the bird? I used contact paper. Draw the "hylian form" on the paper, cut it and attached it in its right place.. so I used the bitumen (very dark, not so much diluted) in all the main piece, and then I took off the contact paper and applied the bitumen on the bird, very diluted this time. haha I hope you can understand me too
hi! So... my father had a woodwork place at the time, so i had every equipment and tools i needed... and all the wood too. The wood I used was some good kind of hardboard, the shape (dimensions and all) i made looking at a picture of the shield. Dont know the exact measures, sorry. And I curved the main piece, of course. A flat hylian shield would just seem lazy work. Well, to make the curve i glued two pieces of the hardboard together, and while it was drying, I used two clamps on each side and a shim under the middle. When the glue dried, it was curved. (sorry for my english hahah).
